HISTORY
FishDaddy was founded in 2017 by a lifelong fisherman and active-duty police officer from the Twin Cities of Minnesota—the Land of 10,000+ Lakes. After discovering research showing that fish are attracted to underwater light, he began creating, testing, and perfecting illuminated lures incorporating LEDs along with other glow and sensory technologies.
FishDaddy’s signature MicroLED Spoon and Dirty Bomb product lines were soon introduced to the ice fishing industry, with continued improvements made to enhance their design, durability, and effectiveness in both hard and open water.
A father of three, our founder—the “Original FishDaddy”—remains inspired by teaching his children and others the art and joy of fishing.

A FishDaddy is always looking to learn, improve, and share that knowledge with others—helping new anglers discover the sport and teaching them how to become more successful on the water.

Illumination and other technologies continue to evolve, creating new possibilities for the fishing industry. FishDaddy continues to explore those advances and apply them to products designed to improve performance, durability, and the overall fishing experience.
Our Soft Lure lines incorporate biodegradable silicone and taste technologies to create baits that are more lifelike, durable, and environmentally conscious. We’ve also introduced advanced glow, sparkle, and no-chip paint technologies to improve lure visibility, durability, and overall quality.
And we’re not done yet. More innovative FishDaddy products are currently in development. Stay tuned for what’s next.
